Faith and Money Matters: 6-Week Small Group Bible
Study on Personal Finances
With more than 2,500 verses in the Bible on money and possessions,
Scripture offers an abundance of knowledge on best money practices
and how to be good stewards of our gifts. The Faith & Money Matters
small group (10 people maximum) bible study dives deep into money
management. Participants will learn how to create a spending plan, how
to get out of crushing debt, and how to start saving and investing for
long-term financial well-being, and, most importantly, how financial
discipleship can change lives! This study is not only for those searching
for relief from debt; it is for anyone who wants to live with their money in
a way that grows their faith rather than detracts from it. This 6-week study
begins January 15, 2025, with sessions on Wednesdays 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
in the parish hall conference room. Cost is $30 for workbook materials.

Anointing of the Sick
Call the parish office at 702-228-8311 if you need to receive the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick at home, in a hospital, or in a care facility. For assistance after hours or on Sundays, call the answering service at 702-388-9571. A priest will be notified and will contact you directly.

Death of a Loved One
In the event of the death of a loved one, contact the SEAS Funeral Ministry at 702-403-8416 BEFORE making arrangements with any of the professional services. Pre-planning is also available.

The Archdiocese of Las Vegas Annual Jubilee Mass for Married Couples will be celebrated by Auxiliary Bishop Gregory W. Gordon on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. at the Guardian Angel Cathedral, 302 Cathedral Way. 

There will be a reception in Anderson Hall immediately following the Mass to receive your certificate. Couples married in the Catholic Church and celebrating their Golden, Silver or other significant wedding anniversaries in 2025 are invited to attend. Please submit a completed registration form together with a copy of your Catholic Marriage certificate (or similar proof of a Catholic wedding) to the Chancery office no later than January 27, 2025. All are invited to join in this celebration.

Holy Communion to the Sick 
If you would like to receive Holy Communion to the sick and homebound, contact Patti and Tom Stava at tomstava1209@gmail.com or 702-586-8093. In case of hospitalization, inform the hospital staff that you are Catholic and would like to receive Communion.

Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick 
Call the parish office at any time at 702-228-8311 or after hours call 702-388-9571 if you need to receive the anointing of the sick. In case of hospitalization, let the hospital staff know that you would like to have one of the Catholic priest chaplains see you.

Funerals 
In the event of a death of a loved one, please contact the Funeral Ministry at 702-403-8416 BEFORE making arrangements with any of the professional services. Pre-planning is available.

Sacrament of Baptism 
Parents and Godparents requesting the Sacrament of Baptism for infants and children up to 7 years of age should attend the Baptism Preparation Class. To register, contact Pastoral Associate Maureen Sisto at msisto@seaslv.org or 702-804-8321. Or sign up at:

Sacrament of Matrimony 
A 6 month minimum time period is needed to complete the preparation required for the Sacrament of Matrimony. For more information, contact Pastoral Associate Maureen Sisto at msisto@seaslv.org or 702-804-8321. Or attend the quarterly Marriage Preparation Inquiry Meeting. Presider Mass Intentions may be requested by calling the parish office at 702-228-8311 and pressing 0 for the receptionist. The person requesting the intention may ask for a card that can be sent to notify a person that a Mass intention has been requested. The priest silently remembers the intention requested as he celebrates the Eucharist.

The scam artists are at it again!

 

Please, if you receive an email, a text message, or any kind of communication claiming to be from Fr. Jim asking you to purchase gift cards or make any kind of purchase for him, DO NOT DO IT! This is a scam.

 

Neither Fr. Jim, Fr. Joachim, nor any SEAS staff member will ask you to buy gift cards for us because we are "tied up in a meeting" or "don't have time to get them ourselves." The scammers may say we need these gift cards to take to someone we are about to visit in the hospital; therefore urging you to act immediately. These are all lies.

 

Report any such scam email or text message to your internet or cell phone provider.

 

Please share with your family and friends that this is a very prevalent scam happening all over, and the scammers can be very convincing.
