Simbang Gabi Mass & Reception at SEAS

Wednesday, December 20 at 6:00 p.m.

In this Filipino religious tradition, a novena of Masses is celebrated in the Philippines early in the morning, or in the early evening. It is also called “Misa de Gallo”(Mass when the cock crows) or “Misa de Aguinaldo”. Families wake up early, attend Mass and fill many churches. After liturgy, delicious Filipino food is served and shared by all. Thus, this novena becomes both a religious and social gathering. In the Las Vegas valley, a novena of Simbang Gabi Masses will be celebrated at different parishes with a simple reception following each Mass. All parishioners are invited to attend. For the complete schedule of novena Masses go to http://dioceseoflasvegas.org/NewsDetails.aspx?NewsID=1402
